As part of a bridge replacement project, we erected two Wolff WK7032 tower cranes with a height of 60m and 64m and 55m / 65m jibs on sustainable, approx. 6.50m high foundations made of reinforced earth in an area that was difficult to access.
Together with Trinac GmbH, an innovative concept was developed - to minimize the impact on the natural landscape and to assemble both tower cranes from one stand at 43m and 39m radius.
Our LTM1450 proved its strengths with its long telescopic boom and flexible working method with VarioBase. Supported by the LTM1070, we accelerated the pre-assembly and ballasting of the cross frame.
Thanks to the load capacity of the LTM1450, we were able to dispense with the originally planned, time-consuming dismantling of some of the tower crane components following a detailed train study.
Despite some challenges, such as narrow serpentines with gradients of up to 14%, nearby highways and gas pipelines, as well as small assembly areas, the tower crane assembly was completed after four days.
